Founder And Chairman: dr. Mayur Vinaykumar Kaku

Fondly called a “Yogic Neurosurgeon” by his patients and well-wishers, Dr. Mayur Vinaykumar Kaku is an accomplished neurosurgeon and yoga practitioner. He serves as a Complex Brain and Spine Surgeon at PES Medical College Specialty Hospital, Kuppam, and is the Head of the Department of Yoga and Neuroscience.

Dr. Mayur holds a certification in Neurosurgery from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore. A recipient of the prestigious Gold Medal from the Government of India for academic excellence, he specializes in Minimally Invasive Brain and Spine Surgery, with a keen interest in Endoscopic and Pediatric Neurosurgery. He is an active member of the Neurological Society of India (NSI) and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), and has been trained by the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS) in Stereotactic Radiosurgery for Brain and Spine.

Expanding his expertise beyond medicine, Dr. Mayur completed a certificate course from Harvard University on Improving Your Business through a Culture of Health, with a focus on holistic health improvements for consumers, employees, communities, and the environment. He also audits organizations to help develop a sustainable Culture of Health.

With over 20 years of experience in yoga practice, Dr. Mayur is an accredited Yoga Therapist from SVYASA University. He is deeply committed to integrating the strengths of Eastern healing traditions with Western medical science for holistic treatment. He has successfully treated numerous patients with conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, stroke, dementia, spondylosis of the neck and back, sciatica, and other chronic illnesses—often without surgical intervention, using only the principles of yoga and neuroscience.

A socially responsible citizen before being a doctor, Dr. Mayur believes in empowering people with knowledge of their innate potential for healing and healthy living. He emphasizes the role of neuroscience in every dimension of human existence, including our relationship with the environment and our duty to protect Mother Earth.

Dr. Mayur is also a distinguished speaker and faculty member, having addressed diverse audiences across academia, industry, NGOs, and international forums.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, he began streaming live sessions on his YouTube channel MAYUR V KAKU, providing practical insights into yoga and neuroscience. He has since uploaded over 800 videos, helping thousands of people worldwide improve their well-being, overcome negative thinking, and strengthen their yoga practice.

Dr. Mayur is fluent in Hindi, English, Kannada, Marathi, and Gujarati, and is available for consultations, sessions, and lectures on yoga, medical sciences, and related topics.

Infant, Child & Adolescent Mental Health Expert | Clinician Scientist | Artist

Dr. Sowmyashree Mayur Kaku is a clinician scientist and child mental health expert with extensive experience in neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism, ADHD, and intellectual disabilities. She completed her MBBS at KIMS, Bangalore, followed by the prestigious integrated MD/PhD program in Clinical Neurosciences at NIMHANS.

Her clinical practice spans learning difficulties, behavioral concerns, emotional health, and pediatric liaison psychiatry, where she works alongside pediatric superspecialists to provide holistic care for children with chronic medical conditions. She has served in leading institutions such as Rainbow Children’s Hospital, Aster CMI Hospital, and St. John’s Medical College Hospital, blending clinical service with academic mentorship.

A passionate researcher, Dr. Sowmyashree has received grants from the International Brain Research Organization, Manipal Foundation, and ICMR. Her pioneering work has focused on early identification of autism in rural communities and advancing the neuroscience of child development. She has also conducted over 500 workshops nationwide for teachers, parents, students, and professionals, fostering awareness on child development, parenting, and mental health.

Beyond medicine, she is an accomplished Bharatanatyam artist (recognized by Doordarshan) and Carnatic musician. At YENRI, she brings together her expertise in psychiatry, research, art, and community engagement to create holistic, evidence-based programs that nurture children, families, and communities.
